The world’s toughest Half Iron

Half X is the world’s toughest 70.3 mile Half ‘Ironman’ Distance Triathlon

At over 9,186 ft (2,800m) and taking in 6 hill climbs over 20%, with Hardknott Pass topping out at 33%, the bike leg is by far steepest and most gruelling of any Half Iron Tri anywhere in the World. With a climb of over 1000 m over 21 km the run is imposing in it’s own right, taking in the peaks of Nab Scar, Heron Pike and Great Rigg before the final ascent of Fairfield Summit.
