July 11 - July 12TBC
The 100K Ultimate Trails Challenge returns next year with its midnight start takes the challenge to a new, but achievable level for a truly memorable journey encompassing the finest trails the Lake District has to offer. The 55K Ultimate Trails Challenge is a testing 55K ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course will certainly live up to it’s billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The 55K route also includes 3 mountain passes, with 7,000 ft ascent/descent along with 5 memorable feed stations. The 100K route adds in an extra 2 passes and 3500 ft of elevation.
Starting and finishing in Ambleside, the 100K and 55KUltimate Trails Challenges take in a complete circuit of the central Lake District, along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways. The 100K route is back by popular demand for 2019 and places will be limited so please sign up for to the ballot now and further information will follow soon.
Runners raved about the new 23K & 14K Ultimate Trailscourses this year. Utilising much of the final section of the 100K and 55K courses, for those wanting a shorter trail run option, places will be in demand.
The start and finish arena will be quite a party, with entertainment, food stalls, trade and retail stands and PA commentary.
The courses are fully waymarked and marshalled, with well stocked feed stations along the route. There are some great prizes on offer for the Race, and winners prizes in the veteran classes.
